Debra’s passion is to mitigate ageism in the workplace and help non-digital natives be more competitive in the workforce. As the founder of BlankSlate Advisors, she’s been focused on addressing the growing dearth of talent due to the shortage of workers with the appropriate skill sets needed for the future of work. The mission is to Upskill current workers, Reskill people who are re-entering the workforce, as well as to help people overcome their fear of data and technology, and demystify digital transformation so they can start their own successful businesses.

 

For the previous 14 years, Debra was the Co-Owner and Chief Development Officer of Sequent Learning, a global corporate training and advisory firm specializing in Product Management.

 

Debra began her career in the advertising field in both television and print media sales, rising through the ranks to senior management.  She was Vice President at Datamonitor where she started up the U.S. operation of a London-based market research firm and set up five industry practice areas. Debra’s last corporate role was as Senior Vice President at TNS, a global market research company where she established the business development function for the CEO and coached the organization through a revolutionary change.

 

A graduate of The George Washington University in Communications, Debra also holds two 2 Professional Certificates from New York University, one in Organizational and Executive Coaching and the second in Leadership and Organizational Development.  Debra also holds a certificate from MIT Sloan School of Management, MIT Taskforce on Work of the Future.
